Our establishment in the Harz region is superlative in more ways than one. It is the oldest remaining hotel in Saxony-Anhalt, with a lovingly restored facade that promises a special experience from the very start. Also one-of-a-kind: an excursion to northern Germany’s highest peak, the Brocken, on the narrow-gauge railway.
The Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Woerlitz, which is internationally famed, is just a few steps from our door. Enjoy wandering through the incomparable beauty of the park grounds, then luxuriate in Roman style in our spa- and bathing landscape.
With a legacy of 565 years, our hotel ranks amongst the most eminent historic buildings in southern Saxony-Anhalt. Even Johann Sebastian Bach was once our guest. And to this day, our kitchen still composes a symphony of contentment from wine and game!
We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel in the idyllic Saale valley, with a tradition dating back to the 15th century. Situated in the historic district of Bad Koesen, directly adjacent to the spa grounds and salt works, our establishment is an ideal starting point, from which to enjoy fascinating forays into the region, with its scenic castles and vineyards.
